seasons & aging.
i. in-character seasons will last one month or four weeks. in the real world, there are four seasons. that goes for stranger too. so, one in-character year is four months or 16 weeks. respectively, your character's age should be updated every four months.
ii. as mentioned before, character ages will update along with the months; characters don't last forever.
iii. in the shop, there is a special item that can be bought to prolong your character's life. it can only be bought two times and the price goes up with each purchase.
iv. all characters will be considered pups or puppies until they are aged one year. after that, they will be considered a young adult until they've aged three years and are of sexual maturity. characters will be considered adults from three to ten; at their eleventh year, they will be considered an "elder" or "senior." up until their point of death (generally 12 - 14, though it depends on the breed and the breed's health problems & if the character has suffered any injuries.)

in-character posting.
i. all in-character posts should be of our 200 word-count minimum. lack of a word-counting device will not be an excuse here as we have a counter installed directly into the posting screen. we understand off days but if you are consistently posting more than a couple of words below the word-count, it will be considered an offense. also, we ask of our members to strive to get over the 200 word-count and not just at it or on it.
ii. as mentioned in the general forum-rules and guidelines, we ask of a semi-literacy level with proper spelling from all of our members. semi-literacy means that you have proper knowledge of grade-school grammar and spelling; this means you should know where to use "a" instead of "an." we understand if you have problems with it because of a learning disorder but we still ask you to try your best and will not count you out from the rest of the members because of it. if you require it, we ask of you to use a grammar and/or spelling checker or ask a staff member for help.
iii. short, needed out-of-character notes within posts are required to be at the top or bottom of your post and clearly marked (such as with parentheses, brackets, or even "OOC:" or "notes:.")
iv. as another note: purple prose will not be tolerated here. this rule was included in the general forum-rules topic which you should have read already but it will be reiterated because it is taken seriously here. not only does it mask true skill (in some), it can be quite annoying for some players. this writing form uses many extravagant, useless details and words that are usually archaic and used in the wrong context. you aren't going to go to the library and pull a book off the shelf whose first sentence resembles "paul's porcelain shielding-layer of skin had been drizzled with crystalline specks of rain-water that had fallen from the ivory-speckled sky." on that note, we don't want that here either!

character breeding & partnerships.
i. wolves will become of sexual maturity at three years and will not be fertile until that time. they will become infertile at 10 years.
ii. breeding two characters of your own together is outlawed here. as is the breeding of characters which have family relations.
iii. forced-breeding (rape) will not be tolerated. it is an offense in the real-world and is one here.
iv. characters can only be mated successfully during the spring and summer; they will birth during the next spring.
v. females can only be impregnated once every two in-character years. they may breed to whoever they want (whether or not that is more than one male is fine) but will only be assigned one litter from a random father.
vi. breeding can occur in any territory desired as long as it is of both the character's alliance and as long as the breeding isn't graphic. a time-skip is required.
vii. the breeding thread must be completed before the topic for pups is posted. it will be considered null if it is posted before hand.
viii. females may give birth at any time desired as long as it is before the last week of the spring season; any later has chances of being considered a miscarriage or false pregnancy.
