royal / high ranks.
chief ; the chief is, by far, the most respected of all ranks within the packs -- They generally gain their rank through heritage or battling. Battling is the most common way for a wolf to gain this rank. The wolf must defeat the current Alpha in a battle for dominance. This wolf is wise and looked up to among the other wolves. They often lead with a female wolf, generally their mate. These two wolves are highly skilled and have the ability to make sudden, important decisions that will affect their pack as a whole. They hold dominance over all the rest of the wolves of the pack and can sanction their lowers as they may.
secondary ; a secondary is basically what their name is; they are the second in command and are just below the chief's control. though below the chief, they do reserve the right to veto and affect the chief's decisions. they are highly intelligent and are level-headed in the face of decision making. when the chief are away or in no condition to be running the pack is when the secondaries take control. they basically run the office when the chief aren't around to do it. they are highly respected and are good at what they do. they are the right hand to the chief.

shaman ; The Shaman is a wolf seasoned in the art of healing; they have a superior knowledge of herbs, healing methods, and can save most when they are hurt. Cool, sweet, and caring is this wolf. They are considered miracle-workers and thus are under the Royal class.
knight ; the knights are wolves who are easily capable of taking down other wolves in the face of battle. they are renowned for their loyalty and their intelligence, their skills and their braveness. it takes quite a bit for any old wolf to lead their lowers into battle, just to protect the territory they so love. when faced with war, these wolves will always be there. they make up the general population of wolves, as they are so important. these wolves are talented warriors, known for their braveness and all their qualities.

provider ; The Providers are the ones who are allowed to tend to the pups of the kingdoms when the parents are unable. They teach them the proper ways and are highly skilled in most categories of skills.
predator ; the predators are basically the wolves who are skilled in the art of hunting. They are usually females because they are more agile than their male counterparts. they occupy most of their time with honing their skills and helping out around the kingdom. they are quick, loyal, and work well with others.
patrol officers ; the Patrol Officers are the ones who patrol the territory. they notify their superiors of new faces close to the territory borders and make sure everyone knows of any upcoming affairs within the territory.
troglodyte ; the troglodytes. these members are fairly useless; they're generally too scared or submissive to hold their own within the pack and thus have been granted the title of an untouchable. they are generally in their own little place, fantasizing about being someone other than themselves. they are not allowed to kill any animals within the territory and eat last from any kill. they're looked down upon and pitied by any higher class than the subordinates.
